Rodent Control in Cedar Mill

Cedar Mill is an unincorporated community in Washington County. It's named for a sawmill that ran on Cedar Mill Creek from about 1855 to 1891, and the creek still flows south to meet Beaverton Creek in the Tualatin Hills Nature Park. Cornell Road is the main street, and the Cedar Mill Community Library has been there since 1976.
Wooded lots, creek ravines and older homes next to new ones make for a mix of rodent problems: rats along the creeks, mice in garages and crawl spaces, and roof rats in the big trees.
Creeks and Wooded Lots
Homes along Cedar Mill Creek and the smaller drainages see rats at the back of the lot, in brush piles and under decks. Keep debris picked up, stack wood off the ground and cut blackberries back. Rat control explains what the provider does with burrows.
Older and Newer Houses Side by Side
Older houses here have crawl spaces with aging vents and lots of pipe penetrations. Newer infill houses are tighter but sit next to the same trees and creeks. Either way, start with an inspection.
